Mohammed bin Rashid Solar Park: Noor Energy 1 PSC to Implement 4th Phase
Largest Single-Site Concentrated Solar Plant
WEB Noor Energy 1 PSC has been awarded the contract to implement the fourth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Solar Park, which will be the largest single-site concentrated solar plant in the world. The project will have a capacity of 950 MW, including 700 MW of concentrated solar power (CSP) and 250 MW of photovoltaic (PV) solar power.
Noor Energy 1 Hybrid Solar Facility
The Noor Energy 1 hybrid solar facility will comprise a solar tower capable of generating 100 MW, three sets of parabolic trough arrays of 200 MW each, and a 250 MW PV solar power plant. The solar tower will be the tallest in the world, standing at 260 meters.
The project is expected to be completed by 2022 and will provide enough electricity to power 250,000 homes. It is part of Dubai's ambitious plan to generate 75% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2050.
